| Casement Windows
Enjoy the uninterrupted view of a casement window.
Casement windows have a hinge at one side and open out by turning a crank. Unlike a double-hung or gliding window, a casement window opens up completely. You can choose to set up a casement window to open to the left or right—one way could catch more breeze.
| Double-Hung Windows
The classic double-hung window looks at home
in any home.
A double-hung window has an upper and a lower
sash, and both may be opened by sliding one past
the other. However, only half of the window can
be open at any time. Unlike casement windows,
double-hung windows do not take up any exterior
space when open.
| Awning Windows
Versatile awning windows can be added above or below stationary windows for more light and ventilation.
Awning windows have a hinge at top and crank open at the bottom, so they can often remain open during rain. When placed high up on a wall, an awning window can provide both ventilation and privacy.
| Gliding Windows
Enjoy the modern beauty of a gliding window.
A gliding window slides one sash horizontally past another to open. Like a double-hung window, it does not take up exterior space, and can only open one sash at a time. However, with an opening as tall as the height of the window, a gliding window often provides more fresh air. Some also find a gliding window easier to open.
| Stationary Windows
For a creative shape to frame the perfect view, consider a stationary window.
Stationary (fixed) windows do not open. But they can give you more flexible options when it comes to sizing and shape. Use them to create beautiful window combinations with circles, ovals, and half-rounds.
| Roof Windows
Flood your home with the beauty of natural light.
Roof windows (skylights) may be either stationary
or operable, and open your roof up to the greatest
amount of sun—and moon—light. If being used in
a bedroom, think about choosing a roof window
with a built-in shade for those days when you
want to sleep in.
| Hinged Patio Doors
Create a dramatic second entrance with traditional French door styling.
A hinged patio door swings open like a conventional door. It can be set up to swing out or in—swinging the door out saves interior space.
| Gliding Patio Doors
Even when they’re closed, gliding patio doors open up your home to the outside and a beautiful view.
Gliding patio doors slide one panel past another to open. This saves space compared to hinged or French doors, which swing in. It’s also easier to add a screen to a gliding patio door.
| Grilles
Add a touch of traditional style and elegance to your windows.
Window and patio door grilles are a beautiful aesthetic add-on that lets you truly customize your windows and patio doors. Choose a classic style or create your own design.
| Art Glass
Turn your windows into works of art.
Andersen art glass inserts (stained glass) can be added to new or old Andersen windows and patio doors. Choose from a range of classic and modern styles, including a series of dramatic patterns inspired by Frank Lloyd Wright®.*
