Andersen Donates $10,000 to Support Historic Fort Snelling

Andersen Corporation presented the Minnesota Historical Society with a check for $10,000 for the Historic Fort Snelling revitalization campaign. The donation was made possible thanks to Renewal by Andersen booking 1,000 in-home consultation appointments at its booth at the 2017 Minnesota State Fair. For every appointment set, Renewal committed to donating $10 for the Fort Snelling restoration.

“We appreciate Renewal by Andersen’s generous commitment to the revitalization of Historic Fort Snelling, Minnesota’s first National Historic Landmark. This project will renovate important historic buildings, refresh the landscape, and connect the fort and its stories in meaningful ways with 21st-century Minnesotans and Americans,” said Tom Pfannenstiel, site manager at Historic Fort Snelling.

Between 1964 and 2016, Andersen Corporate Foundation has donated more than $218,000 to the Minnesota Historical Society.

“We are very pleased to support the Minnesota Historical Society’s Historic Fort Snelling revitalization campaign,” said Renewal by Andersen President Paul Delahunt. “It is very exciting that meeting our goal at the Minnesota State Fair, one of the state’s iconic events, allowed us to support another state icon like Fort Snelling.”
