Easy Connect Joining System Named Most Innovative Window by Window & Door Magazine

Window & Door Magazine announced today the winners of its annual Crystal Achievement Awards, recognizing Andersen’s Easy Connect Joining System as the Most Innovative Window of 2018.

The patented Easy Connect Joining System for Andersen’s A-Series windows utilizes innovative interlocking fiberglass joining plates that are pre-applied to the window frames at the factory. Large window combinations are factory assembled in smaller sub-group combinations with the joining plates applied so that they arrive ready to install directly into the rough opening and ready to be connected to adjoining combinations, delivering the ultimate in job site conveniences and making installation easier.

In fact, most contractors surveyed said they could reduce the number of installers by 50 percent using the Andersen Easy Connect Joining System*, addressing the labor shortage challenge being faced by builders and contractors in the industry.

“We are honored to be awarded the 2018 Crystal Achievement Awards Most Innovative Window for our Easy Connect joining system,” said Grant Davis, vice president and general manager of Andersen’s Residential and Commercial Pro division. “This revolutionary system not only offers convenience at the job site, it also reduces costs for contractors and builders and enables them to do more in a tight labor market.”

The Crystal Achievement Awards recognize residential window and door manufacturers and suppliers for outstanding contributions to the industry. The winning entries, including the Easy Connect joining system, present creative solutions to the industry’s challenges, portray the next evolution of fenestration trends and have a substantial impact on the advancement of the industry.
