Kolleen Schneider Named an 'Outstanding Leader Transforming Manufacturing' by Smart Manufacturing Magazine

SME, the professional association committed to advancing manufacturing and developing a skilled workforce and publisher of Smart Manufacturing magazine, recently honored Kolleen Schneider, director of supply chain at Andersen, as part of the 25 Outstanding Leaders Transforming Manufacturing award.

 

"We've seen in the last several months how quickly our industry can rebound to near full production," said Robert Willig, executive director and CEO of SME. "These 25 luminaries in manufacturing are pushing the pace of change in our industry, paving the path that leads to elevated quality, improved productivity, increased profitability and higher employment here in North America. 

 

The leaders, who work at startups, large corporations, public-private partnerships and standards organizations, are successfully changing the pace and scope of technological adoption of smart manufacturing processes at the highest levels.

 

“More recently, our smart manufacturing journey has led us to integrate supply chain processes to provide real-time communication from the shop floor to our manufacturing support teams,” Schneider said. “When I think about the future of smart manufacturing, I see an acceleration of the current path. Integrated and connected manufacturing will extend to remote monitoring and predictive diagnostics across material supply, part quality and end-to-end optimization.”
