Andersen Awarded 2022 Economic Impact Award by Greater Des Moines Partnership

The Greater Des Moines Partnership has announced Andersen Corporation as a winner of the 2022 Economic Impact Awards, which honor companies that had a significant influence on the local economy this year.

Andersen plans to invest in its Des Moines area operations with the addition of a 100,000-square-foot manufacturing facility, creating more than 100 new manufacturing jobs.

"This expansion is a strategic opportunity to increase our capacity to meet growing customer demand for our screen door products," said Jim Gelina, vice president and general manager of Andersen’s storm doors business. “We are proud to celebrate the growth of this business and invest in our Iowa-based operations. We’re grateful for the support of the City of Des Moines and The Greater Des Moines Partnership.”

Andersen employs more than 13,000 people in sites across North America and Europe, including five facilities throughout Iowa, three of which are located in the Des Moines area.
