Andersen Corporation Vice President of Finance and Strategic Transformation, Melissa Harris, has been recognized as one of Finance & Commerce’s 2024 Women in Finance Honorees. This prestigious award celebrates women who are making significant impacts in the finance industry and their communities by breaking down barriers and paving the way for future generations.
Melissa has been a cornerstone of Andersen’s financial success since 1999. Starting as a cost accountant, she has progressed through various finance analyst and leadership roles, significantly contributing to Andersen’s manufacturing operations, logistics, and supply chain. Since 2021, she has led finance for Andersen’s largest and most complex business unit, enhancing financial strategies to accelerate the company’s growth. Recently, her role expanded to include leading strategic transformation for the Andersen Division, focusing on long-term growth plans.
A key part of Melissa’s recognition is her long-standing commitment to mentorship. She spearheaded the creation of Andersen’s financial rotational program, designed to develop high-talent new graduates and retain them long-term.
In addition to her accomplishments within Andersen, Melissa serves as the Board Chair of FamilyMeans, a nonprofit focused on strengthening the Twin Cities community by helping individuals and families through challenges in all stages of life. She has held leadership positions on the board since 2020, including Board Member, Treasurer, and Vice Chair.
