Firehouse Renovation
Anthony Carrino, designer, developer and contractor with 20-plus years in the industry, has renovated hundreds of homes both on TV and off.
For Anthony Carrino's most recent project, he tackled a historic firehouse renovation in Hoboken, New Jersey, for a special client – himself.
After college, Anthony started a general contracting business with his father, specializing in restoring historically significant structures. As the business grew, they began searching for a proper headquarters which led them to purchase a historic firehouse from the city and convert it to office space.
Now, Anthony is renovating the building again, into his dream home while maintaining the original character of the firehouse.
As Anthony was selecting doors for the renovation, his main priorities were quality and design. Anthony selected Andersen doors for the home's exterior and Renewal by Andersen windows to bring his ideas to life.

Entranceway
Anthony selected a custom alder entry door and transom as the focal point of the firehouse's entranceway.
The door and its coordinating transom spans over 10 feet tall, complementing the home's three-story layout.
“Being on the National Historic Register, I wanted to make sure I was respecting the exterior of this building and using a product that looks period correct. With the number of lite styles and configurations they offer I was able to nail the exterior aesthetic.” – Anthony
Rooftop Deck
The rooftop deck on the third level of the firehouse features two black A-Series Frenchwood® Outswing doors with arched transoms that contrast against the firehouse's brick facade and honor the arches of the original architecture.
The renovation all takes place on Anthony's website, TheBuild.TV, where he walks through the planning, process, products and project management needed to bring a renovation of this scale to life.
